Oracle and CipherSoft Workshop - May 13th, 2008
Thousands of customers have been successfully running their core business systems on Oracle Forms technology. With a vision to the future, many businesses are looking to the principles of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to extend their current applications and also to align their business and IT needs. The ability to build services modeled on business functions, reuse and orchestration of common, loosely coupled services and the agility associated with working with modular services, built on recognized standards, are attractive options.
Oracle provides a roadmap to modernize applications based on Oracle Forms technology by providing an incremental approach for developers who need to extend their business platform to J2EE. This allows Oracle Forms customers to retain their investment in Oracle Forms while leveraging the opportunities offered by complementing technologies The question then becomes, as a company, does it make the most sense to stay with Oracle Forms as a development environment, or migrate to Java?
Please join Oracle and CipherSoft Inc. for an informative day of workshops addressing this decision and some of the issues around it. The morning session, “Conversion Analysis”, will provide you with the information you need to determine what direction is best for your organization moving to the Web. You will learn about the pros and cons of migrating to both environments, and how to apply these to your decision about your organization’s future growth.
The afternoon session, “Oracle ADF and JDeveloper”, will provide you with the benefits of utilizing the new capabilities of Oracle’s Application Server, as well as ADF and JDeveloper for your future application development.
