Oracle Legacy Modernization Specialists produces product to integrate with Oracle’s 11g Middleware
Unify | CipherSoft Inc., a leader in legacy modernization tools and services, announced today an integrated product with Oracle’s 11g Middleware and WebCenter technology. The company's Exodus software, a family of automated conversion tools to convert Oracle Forms to Java, will now produce Java/ADF code that integrates directly with Oracle WebCenter and allow the converted application to utilize the WebCenter technology immediately.
Oracle WebCenter is a suite of components for building rich user interactive applications that run on Oracle 11g Middleware. The WebCenter Framework allows developers to embed portlets, content, and customizable components in an application. Exodus provides an efficient way to convert Oracle’s legacy applications into the Java/ADF environment, allowing organizations to move applications to the Web and now leverage WebCenter in a cost effective way.
Exodus is distinguished from its competitors through technology innovation that automates the migration of Oracle business logic from legacy applications to Oracle’s J2EE based environment. By streamlining the process of conversion, Exodus significantly reduces the costs associated with manually converting legacy software or rewriting the application. The converted application is fully maintainable, portable and contains no wrappers, providing fast deployment with very little impact on business operations. Exodus extracts business logic from the original Oracle Forms application and provides options for the conversion of the original screens to the same look and feel as the original application, or to a completely newly defined and modern user interface. The product also allows interfaces to a vast array of frameworks and development technologies available in the Java environment. By creating individual modules created by user’s criteria, the product allows binding of the converted application with tools and frameworks such as struts, spring, and Jheadstart.
